About the Records Management Division

The Records Management Division (RMD) is responsible for the management of DBI's public records, which include building, electrical, plumbing and mechanical permit applications and other related documents such as job cards, certificate of final completion and plans as defined by California Health and Safety Code. Upon request, RMD reproduce public records documents within DBI's possession and are also responsible for producing the Report of Residential Building Record (3R Report).
