Central Permit Bureau (CPB) -CPB accepts and issues construction, electrical, plumbing, and street space permits for public and private buildings within the City and County of San Francisco.  Assesses and collects fees for all structures, building enlargements and change of use.

Initial Permit Review (IPR) -IPR provides proactive, professional, and consistent customer service in reviewing building permit applications and plans prior to review by plan review disciplines.

Permit Processing Center (PPC) -The primary functions of PPC are to ensure movement of building permit applications between the different stations and bureaus of DBI prior to being routed to CPB for issuance. This team handles cancellation notices and revisions given by the Planning Department, including permit applications filed for appeals with the Board of Appeals.
