NOTICE OF MEETING

CODE ADVISORY COMMITTEE

This Committee meets regularly every second Wednesday of the month at 1650 Mission Street, Room 431, 4th Floor (City Planning Department).  If you wish to be placed on a mailing list for agendas, please call (415) 575-6832.

AGENDA

1.0 Call to Order, Roll Call and confirmation of quorum.

2.0 Introduction, welcome, and possible subcommittee assignment of Robert Wong as the Building Inspection Commission newly appointed Mechanical Engineer/Contractor member to the Code Advisory Committee.          (10 minutes)

3.0 Discussions and possible action regarding a proposed ordinance (File #100577) amending the San Francisco Building Code Section 106A.3.2.5 to extend, to the entire Hunters Point Shipyard area, the special permit processing requirements that now apply at Hunters Point Shipyard Parcel A to address potential residual contamination and making environmental findings. The possible action would be to make a recommendation to the Building Inspection Commission for their further action.            (20 minutes)

4.0 General discussions regarding a proposed ordinance (File #100675) amending the San Francisco Planning Code by adding Section 259.53 to establish the Presidio-Sutter Special Use District for property at 800 Presidio Ave. (Assessor’s Block No. 1073, Lot No. 13); amending Sheet HT03 of the Zoning Map to change the Height and Bulk District from 40-X to 50-X and amending Sheet SU-03 of the Zoning Map to reflect the boundaries of the Presidio-Sutter Special Use District; adopting findings, including environmental findings, Section 302 findings, and findings of consistency with the General Plan and Priority Policies of Planning Code Section 101.1.    (20 minutes)

5.0 Update regarding the new 2010 California Residential Code and 2010 CalGreen Code as they relate to San Francisco’s code amendment adoption along with any and all other existing codes.             (20 minutes)

6.0 Update regarding San Francisco’s 2010 code adoption schedule.  (10 minutes)

7.0 Public Comments on items not on this agenda but within the jurisdiction of the Code Advisory Committee.  Comment time is limited to 3 minutes or as determined by of the Chairperson.

11.0 Committee Member’s and Staff’s identification agenda items for the next meeting, as well as current agenda items to be continued to another CAC regular meeting or special meeting, or a subcommittee meeting.  CAC discussion and possible action regarding administrative issues related to building codes.

The meeting room is wheelchair accessible.  Accessible curb side parking spaces have been designated on Mission and Otis Streets. There is accessible parking available within the Department of Building Inspection parking lot.  The entrance to this lot is on Otis Street.
