NOTICE OF MEETING
Regular Meeting of the CODE ADVISORY COMMITTEE

DATE:  January 12, 2011 (Wednesday)

TIME:  9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.       
LOCATION:  1650 Mission Street, Room 431  (Thru Room 400, Planning Dept. Forth floor) 

This Committee meets regularly every second Wednesday of the month at 1650 Mission Street, Room 431, 4th Floor (City Planning Department).  If you wish to be placed on a mailing list for agendas, please call (415) 575-6832.

AGENDA

 

1.     Call to Order, Roll Call and confirmation of quorum.

2.     Election of the Chair and Vice Chair for the Code Advisory Committee.  The term of office for each is one year and will commence with the CAC regular meeting of February 9, 2011. (10 minutes)

3.     Discussion and possible action regarding a proposed Administrative Bulletin AB-047 (Draft 15 R4) Specific Submittal Criteria for Reports, Special Inspections and Final Acceptance Testing of Smoke Control Systems.  The possible action is to make a recommendation to the Building Inspection for their further action. (30 minutes)

4.     Discussion and possible action regarding proposed changes to Administrative Bulletin AB-035 - Procedure for Assigning Street Numbers (Addresses) and newly proposed Administrative Bulletin AB-078 – Criteria for Waiving Special Inspection Requirements for Signs and Awnings. The possible action is to make a recommendation to the Building Inspection Commission for their further action. (30 minutes)

5.     Discussion and possible action regarding proposed changes to Administrative Bulletin AB-078 – Criteria for Waiving Special Inspection Requirements for Signs and Awnings. The possible action is to make a recommendation to the Building Inspection Commission for their further action. (10 minutes)

6.     General discussions regarding a proposed ordinance (file #101523) amending the San Francisco Planning Code by amending Section 409 to clarify that the Annual Infrastructure Cost Inflation Adjustments to development fees authorized by the section do not need further action ;by the Board of Supervisors, to provide that the Planning Director be included in the annual fee reporting process, and to make other technical amendments to simplify the annual fee reporting process and ensure that the Controller’s Office and the Capital Planning Program coordinate their efforts, and by amending other sections of Article 4 to clarify language, eliminate confusion as to when requirements must be met, and correct errors in cross-referencing; amending the San Francisco Administrative Code by repealing Section 38.14 (the Severability Clause) and moving it to Section 430; adopting environmental, Planning Code Section 302, and Planning Code Section 101.1 findings.  (5 minutes)

7.     Public Comments on items not on this agenda but within the jurisdiction of the Code Advisory Committee.  Comment time is limited to 3 minutes or as determined by of the Chairperson.
