NOTICE OF MEETING
Regular Meeting of the CODE ADVISORY COMMITTEE


DATE:    July 14, 2010 (Wednesday)

This Committee meets regularly every second Wednesday of the month at 1650 Mission Street, Room 431, 4th Floor (City Planning Department).  If you wish to be placed on a mailing list for agendas, please call (415) 575-6832.

AGENDA

1.0 Call to Order, Roll Call and confirmation of quorum.

2.0 Discussion and possible action regarding a proposed ordinance (File No. 081089) reactivated by Supervisor Mirkarimi amending chapter 26 of the San Francisco Fire Code by adding Section 2611 to prohibit in San Francisco the installation of torch-applied roof systems on combustible roofs; adopting environmental findings and findings required by California Health & Safety Code Section 17958.7; and directing the Clerk of the Board to forward San Francisco’s amendment and findings to the California Building Standards Commission and the Office of the State Fire Marshal.  The possible action would be to make a recommendation to the full Code Advisory Committee for their further action.    (30 minutes)
   
3.0 Discussion and possible action regarding a proposed ordinance (File #100472) by Supervisor Alioto-Pier amending the San Francisco Building Code by adding Section 105A.3.10 to require that an agenda and packet of materials for each matter to be decided by the Access Appeals Commission shall be sent to the Mayor’s Office of Disability at the same time and in the same manner as they are sent to the Commission members. The action would be to make a recommendation to the full Code Advisory Committee for their further action. (15 minutes)

4.0 General discussions regarding a proposed ordinance (File # 100757) by Supervisor Daly amending the Public Works Code Section 723.2 to provide for a waiver of the annual public right-of-way occupancy fee for minor sidewalk encroachment permits necessary for the development of 100% affordable housing projects and adopting environmental findings.   (10 minutes)

5.0 General discussions regarding a proposed resolution (File #100755) supporting existing area plan housing requirements.         (10 minutes)

6.0 General discussions and possible action regarding the proposed integration of the 2010 California Residential Code into the proposed 2010 San Francisco Building Code.  (10 minutes)                                        
7.0 Public Comments on items not on this agenda but within the jurisdiction of the Code Advisory Committee.  Comment time is limited to 3 minutes or as determined by of the Chairperson.

The meeting room is wheelchair accessible.  Accessible curb side parking spaces have been designated on Mission and Otis Streets. There is accessible parking available within the Department of Building Inspection parking lot.  The entrance to this lot is on Otis Street.

Accessible seating for persons with disabilities (including those using wheelchairs) will be available.
