1.0 Call to Order and Roll Call.

Members: Stephen Harris, S.E.; Chair; Rene’ Vignos, S.E.; Marc Cunninham

Meeting was called to order at 9:00 a.m. Quorum established with 2 members present.

 

 

2.0 Approval of the minutes of the Structural Subcommittee regular meeting

of July 13, 2010.

A motion to approve the minutes. Seconded and approved.

 

 

3.0 Discussion and possible action on proposed amendments on structural provisions to

the 2010 California Building Code,

 

Chapter 34 was discussed. This completed the discussion on the proposed amendments on structural provisions to the 2010 Califronia Building Code.

Sections 1704.7, 1810.3.3.1.5 and 1810.3.3.1.6 were also discussed. Since these proposed

amendments were less restrictive than CBC, there were not approved.

Revision to the applicable administrative bulletins to reflect the intent of these proposed

amendments were recommended to be drafted for further discussion.

 

 

4.0 Discussion and possible action on proposed amendments on structural provisions to

the 2010 California Residential Code,

 

No discussion.

 

 

5.0 Proposed amendments to the Administrative Bulletins would be discussed in the next meeting.

 

 

6.0 Public Comment:
