CAPSS - September 15, 2010

Dear CAPSS Advisory Committee,

You are cordially invited to join the Northern California Chapter of the Earthquake Engineering Research Institute at our next meeting on September 15th where the newly updated Hayward Fault Scenario will be released. There will be a presentation sharing the expected consequences of an anticipated magnitude 7 Hayward fault earthquake, and discussion of how impacts have changed since the original Hayward Fault Scenario study was released in 1996.

The EERI NC Chapter is working to promote a comprehensive dissemination effort of the updated Hayward Fault Scenario thus, the slides of the presentation and the report will be made available after this meeting. Hopefully you can use them as a tool to actively encourage and promote risk reduction programs, like CAPSS.
