CODE ADVISORY COMMITTEE

AGENDA
1.0 Call to Order and Roll Call (2 minutes)
2.0 Approval of minutes of prior Code Advisory Committee (CAC) the Regular Meeting of April 18, 2001. (5 minutes)
3.0 Discussion and possible action regarding a proposed ordinance amending the San Francisco Housing Code by amending Section 904 to require the installation of automatic sprinkler systems in residential hotels, as defined in the ordinance. The possible action will be to make a recommendation to the Building Inspection Commission (BIC) for their further action. (45 minutes)
4.0 Discussion and possible action regarding amending San Francisco Building Code Amendments to Chapter 16, Structural Design Requirements, and the description of post-earthquake triggers for seismic upgrade requirements.

5.0 Report, discussion, and possible action regarding ongoing projects and legislation within the Department of Building Inspection and Technical Services Division including the following topics: (15 minutes)
a. Reclaimed Water program requirements and future Plumbing Code revision procedures.
b. Update on Community Action Plan for Seismic Safety (CAPSS) program.
c. Update on proposed Interior Lead Paint Ordinance.
d. Update on amendments to the California Energy Code (Title 24, Part 6), adopted as Emergency Regulations on January 3, 2001 and effective June 1, 2001.
e. Update on proposed changes to unlawful residential demolition requirements.
f. Update on proposed and adopted changes to the California State Housing Law regarding mold and mildew.
g. Update on new sign permit legislation
h. Status of Administrative Bulletins transmitted to Director F. Chiu for referral to the Building Inspection Commission (BIC).
i. Update on Cost Valuation Schedule.
j. Update on Special Inspection/ Structural Observation review requested by BIC.

CAC discussion and possible action regarding administrative issues related to building codes. (3 minutes)
9.0 Public Comment on items not on this agenda but within the jurisdiction of the Code Advisory Committee. Comment time is limited to 3 minutes or at the call of the Chair.
