Call to Order and Roll Call

Approval of minutes of the Regular Meetings of June 16, 2003.

3.0

 

Discus Discussion and possible action regarding the interpretation and application of California
Mechanical Code Section 505 regarding the ventilation of garages and the location of exhaust terminations.  The possible action will be to make a recommendation to the full Code Advisory Commission for their further action.

Discussion and possible action regarding San Francisco Building Code Section 1203.4.3 that requires in part that “Every court more than two stories in height shall be provided with a horizontal air intake at the bottom not less than 10 square feet in area and leading to the exterior of the building unless abutting a yard or public way.”  Certain courts may be large enough in area that such an air intake would be superfluous.  The possible action will be to recommend a revision, if necessary, to the full Code Advisory Committee for their further consideration and action.

Subcommittee Members’ and Staff’s identification of new agenda items, as well as current agenda items to be continued to another subcommittee regular meeting or special meeting. Subcommittee discussion and possible action regarding administrative issues related to building codes.

Public Comment: Public comment will be heard on items not on this agenda but within the jurisdiction of the Code Advisory Committee.  Comment time is limited to 3 minutes per person or at the call of the Chair.
