AGENDA

1.0 Call to Order and Roll Call (2 minutes)

2.0 Approval of minutes of prior Code Advisory Committee (CAC) the Regular Meeting of March 21, 2001. (5 minutes)

3.0 Discussion and possible action regarding comments returned from other agencies and interested public individuals on Draft Administrative Bulletins currently under review. The Administrative Bulletins previously distributed for review and request for comment include:

    AB-028 Preapplication Plan Review Process

    AB-042 Board of Examiners Request for Variances

    AB-035 Assignment of Building Numbers

    AB-013 Disabled Access to Historical Buildings

    AB-038 Investigation Fees for Work Without Permits

    AB-009 Property Line Wall Openings

    AB-018 Emergency Escape/Rescue Windows

    AB-019 Use of Fire Escapes

    AB-020 Exiting Through Garage

    The possible action will be to make a recommendation to the Building Inspection Commission for their further action. (60 minutes)

      1.) Discussion and possible action on proposed Administrative Bulletin AB-038 regarding Investigative Fee for Work Without Permit (Draft #1.) The possible action will be for the full CAC to formulate a recommendation to be transmitted to the BIC for their action.

      2.) Discussion and possible action on a proposed revision to AB-001, Preparing Administrative Bulletins, which would revise the flow chart to insert a CAC review before sending a proposed document to the BIC for initial consideration, and to insert a CAC review prior to writing a final draft for BIC consideration. The possible action will be for the full CAC to formulate a recommendation to be transmitted to the BIC for their action.

6.0 Committee Member’s and Staff’s identification agenda items for the next meeting, as well as current agenda items to be continued to another CAC regular meeting or special meeting, or a subcommittee meeting. CAC discussion and possible action regarding administrative issues related to building codes. (3 minutes)

7.0 Public Comment on items not on this agenda but within the jurisdiction of the Code Advisory Committee. Comment time is limited to 3 minutes or at the call of the Chair.
