AGENDA
1.0 Call to Order, Roll Call and confirmation of quorum.
2.0 Approval of the minutes of the Code Advisory Committee regular meeting of August 12, 2020.
3.0 Continued discussion regarding current DBI permitting process.
4.0 Discussion and possible action regarding revisions to Administrative Bulletin 112, establishing regulations for permits for mixed fuel new construction in exceptional cases of physical or technical infeasibility.
The possible action would be to make a recommendation to the Building Inspection Commission for their further action
5.0 Reconsideration of subcommittee assignments.
6.0 Discussion and possible action regarding SFEBC Section 506.4.3 and whether the increase in the number of occupants by 100 people and 10% is intended to trigger a full-IBC-level upgrade or a reduced-IBC-level upgrade. The reduced-IBC-level upgrade was required in previous editions of the SFEBC; the full-IBC-level upgrade is triggered by the current provisions. This may have been an inadvertent change in the recent code cycle.
The possible action would be to make a recommendation to the Building Inspection Commission for their further action.
7.0 Discussion regarding CAC’s reviewing scope regarding Administrative Bulletins and/or Information Sheets about Fire regulations.
8.0 Continued discussion regarding status of previous recommendations to the BIC.
9.0 Continued discussion regarding a potential Information Sheet about the change of occupancy types and associated occupant load factors over time.
10.0 Continued discussion regarding update on the status of the Accessible Business Entrance (ABE) program.
11.0 Public Comments on items not on this agenda but within the jurisdiction of the Code Advisory Committee. Comment time is limited to 3 minutes or as determined by of the Chairperson.

• When the Chair or Committee Secretary calls for Public Comment, dial ‘*’ then ‘3’ to be added to the speaker line.
• You will then hear “You have raised your hand to ask a question, please wait to speak until the host calls on you.” Callers will hear silence when waiting for their turn to speak.
• Ensure you are in a quiet location. Before you speak, mute the sound of any equipment around you, including televisions, radios, and computers. It is especially important that you mute your computer (if you are watching via the web link) so there is no echo sound when you speak.
• To withdraw your question, press ‘*’ then ‘3’. – you will hear: “You have lowered your hand.”
