Call to Order and Roll Call
Members: Jim Guthrie, S.E.; Chair; Ned Fennie, AIA.; Stephen Harris, S.E.

Meeting was called to order at 9:00 a.m.  Quorum established with 3 member present.

Approval of the minutes of the Structural Subcommittee regular meeting of October 2, 2007.

A motion to approve the minutes.  Seconded an approved.

3.0

Discussion and possible action on draft Administrative Bulletin AB-058: Seismic Instrumentation

AB-058 will be re-drafted with minor editing and the following changes:

Details of  cabling, communications and specifications for Equipments  will be moved to appendix.

Existing Building Instrumentation Program will be deleted.

Onsite local responsible contact person and contact information will be included in appendix.

Discussion and possible action on other Administrative Bulletins.

AB-083 still refers to 2001 SFBC.
All others have been updated to 2007 SFBC.
A motion to move the updated Administrative Bulletins forward to the full CAC meeting on 10/10/07.  Seconded and approved.

Jim and Stephen will explore ways of updating AB-083 to 2007 SFBC.

David will produces initial drafts on ABs on Peer review and  Non-prescriptive (Performance-based) designs.
