Regular Meeting of the
CODE ADVISORY COMMITTEE


DATE:                March 9, 2016 

TIME:            9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.    
LOCATION:    1650 Mission Street, Room 431 (Thru Room 400, Planning Dept. Forth floor)    

This Committee meets regularly every second Wednesday of the month at 1650 Mission Street, Room 431, 4th Floor (City Planning Department).  If you wish to be placed on a mailing list for agendas, please call (415) 575-6832.

AGENDA

1.0 Call to Order, Roll Call and confirmation of quorum.

2.0 Discussion and possible action regarding a proposed ordinance (file #151085-3) amending the Building, Housing, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire, Health, Planning, and Administrative Codes to clarify and standardize enforcement procedures for violations of Municipal Codes relating to buildings and property, to require departments to report on code enforcement activities, and to direct the City Administrator to coordinate the preparation of standard Citywide forms for code enforcement proceedings; affirming the Planning Department’s determination under the California Environmental Quality Act; and making findings of consistency with the General Plan, and eight priority policies of Planning Code, Section 101.1. The possible action would be to make a recommendation to the Building Inspection Commission for their further consideration.             (20 minutes)

3.0 Discussion and possible action regarding a proposed ordinance (file# 151081) amending the Building Code to authorize the Director of the Department of Building Inspection to stop all work on a construction project whenever there are repeated violations of City codes on the project; and affirming the Planning Department’s determination under the California Environmental Quality Act. The possible action would be to make a recommendation to the Building Inspection Commission for their further consideration.                            (20 minutes)

4.0 Discussion and possible action regarding a proposed ordinance (file # 160154) amending the Green Building Code and the Environment Code to establish requirements for certain new building construction facilitating development of renewable energy facilities; updating provisions of the Green Building requirements for City buildings. The possible action would be to make a recommendation to the Building Inspection Commission for their further consideration.

Discussion and possible action regarding proposed update to existing Administrative Bulletin AB-047, Specific Submittal Criteria for Reports, Special Inspections and Final Acceptance Testing of Smoke Control Systems. The possible action would be to make a recommendation to the Building Inspection Commission for their further consideration.            (20 minutes)
