AGENDA
1.0 Call to Order and Roll Call and confirmation of quorum. (2 minutes)
2.0 Approval of minutes of the Regular Meetings of May 21, 2003. (5 minutes) (5 minutes)
3.0 Discussion and possible action regarding a proposed ordinance File No. 030353 (Supervisor Gonzalez) amending the San Francisco Building Code by amending Section 106.3.3 to require proposed curb cuts to be shown on plans and specifications and by adding Section 106.4.1.3 to require curb cut or street tree removal permits required for a project to be approved and issued by the Department of Public Works prior to the issuance of a building permit. The possible action will be to make a recommendation to the Building Inspection Commission (BIC) for their further action. (15 minutes)
4.0 Presentation by Keith L. Knudsen Senior Engineering Geologist California Department of Conservation, Division of Mines and Geology, regarding the Seismic Hazards Mapping Act and its implications for the City of San Francisco.

5.0 Discussion and possible action regarding proposed revision to San Francisco Building Code Section 3403.2.2.2, Structural Alterations, by adding Exception 2 that would allow alterations involving the first story of a Type V, Group R-3 Occupancy to be exempt from the seismic upgrade requirements of Section 3403.2.2.2, when such story has a proposed use as a garage. The possible action will be to make a recommendation to the Building Inspection Commission for their further consideration. (15 minutes)
6.0 Discussion and possible action regarding any minimum area (square footage) requirements of the San Francisco Building and Housing Codes for single and double room occupancies, and any necessary increase of area for additional persons. The possible action will be to make a report to the Building Inspection Commission for their further action. (15 minutes)
7.0 Discussion and possible action regarding a new Administrative Bulletins currently being developed by Technical Services Division. The possible action will be to make a recommendation to TSD regarding the direction for the further development of this draft of the proposed bulletin. (10 minutes)

10.0 Secretary’s report on upcoming events, announcements and tasks for the CAC. (5 minutes)
11.0 Committee Member’s and Staff’s identification agenda items for the next meeting, as well as current agenda items to be continued to another CAC regular meeting or special meeting, or a subcommittee meeting. CAC discussion and possible action regarding administrative issues related to building codes. (3 minutes)
12.0 Public Comment on items not on this agenda but within the jurisdiction of the Code Advisory Committee. Comment time is limited to 3 minutes or at the call of the Chair.
