MATTERS FOR CONSIDERATION

AGENDA:

 

1. CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL

 

2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Approval of the minutes for the meeting held Wednesday, May 24, 2000.

 

3. PUBLIC COMMENT: At this time, members of the public may address the Commission on items of interest to the public that are within the subject matter jurisdiction of the Commission except agenda items. With respect to agenda items, your opportunity to address the Commission will be afforded when the item is reached in the meeting with one exception. When the agenda item has already been reviewed in a public hearing at which members of the public were allowed to testify and the Commission has closed the public hearing, your opportunity to address the Commission must be exercised during the Public Comment portion of the calendar. Each member of the public may address the Commission for up to 3 minutes. If it is demonstrated that comments by the public will exceed 15 minutes, the President or Chairperson may continue Public Comment to another time during the meeting.

4. REVIEW OF COMMUNICATIONS ITEMS.

At this time, the Commission may discuss or take possible action to respond to communication items received since the last meeting.

5. REHEARINGS:

a. Appeal No. 99-16 (PA #9906616) Mr. John Peterson

1765 California Street On April 12, 2000 a rehearing of this appeal was granted based on new information a request by the appellant to submit a new engineering study. The appellant is appealing several Unreasonable Hardship Requests (UHR) that have been administratively denied by the Department, including non-accessible entrance ramp, vertical access, and parking.

 

b. Appeal No. 00-03 (PA # 2000208316 Ms. Linda H. Parker

353 Sacramento Street On April 12, 2000 a rehearing of this appeal was granted based on new information. The appellant is requesting a determination of equivalent facilitation for the front transfer accessible toilet stalls on most of floors (2-23) used in conjunction with fully accessible toilet stalls on five floors (4,6,16,17,18).

 

6. COMMISSIONERS’ AND STAFF’S QUESTIONS AND COMMENTS:

Commissioners’ and Staff’s open discussion to identify new agenda items, as well as current agenda items to be continued to another regular commission meeting, site visit or special meeting. Commission discussion and possible action regarding administrative issues related to access appeals.

7. PUBLIC COMMENT: Comment time is limited to 3 minutes per person. .
