Call to Order and Roll Call
Members: Jim Guthrie, S.E.; Chair; Ned Fennie, AIA.; Stephen Harris, S.E.

Meeting was called to order at 9:00 a.m.  Quorum established with 3 members present.

 

2.0

Approval of the minutes of the Structural Subcommittee regular meeting of July 8, 2008.

The minutes was amended by changing “EOR.”  to “EOR,” A motion to approve the minutes as amended. Seconded and approved.

 

3.0

Discussion and possible action on AB-023: Tower Crane Site safety Plans

 

AB-023 is currently revised to incorporate recommendations from meeting between DBI, CAL/OHSA and crane contractors, etc. concerns of special inspection of the tie-in.

 

The next  draft of AB-023 will be returned to this subcommittee for review and approval.

Discussion and possible action on 2007 SFBC Section 1604.11.3 to incorporate applicable provisions of 2001 SFBC Section 1605.4.3.

 

Trading 10% loss but strengthening, State level for rewrite of  Chapter 34, 2001 SFBC’s approach of 5% for exception are discussed.

Discussion and possible action on 2007 SFBC Section 3403.2 to incorporate applicable provisions of 2001 SFBC Section 3403.2.1.1, exception 1.

Discussion and possible action on 2007 SFBC Section 3403.2.3.2.4 to incorporate recommendations of   SEAONC on repairs.


No discussion.

Discussion and possible action on DBI’s Special Inspection Program.


No discussion.

Proposed green building ordinance, CAPSS and soft story were talked about.
