MATTERS FOR CONSIDERATION

AGENDA:

1. CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL

  1. PUBLIC COMMENT: (DISCUSSION)

At this time, members of the public may address the Commission on items of interest to the public that are within the subject matter jurisdiction of the Commission except agenda items. With respect to agenda items, your opportunity to address the Commission will be afforded when the item is reached in the meeting with one exception. When the agenda item has already been reviewed in a public hearing at which members of the public were allowed to testify and the Commission has closed the public hearing, your opportunity to address the Commission must be exercised during the Public Comment portion of the calendar. Each member of the public may address the Commission for up to 3 minutes. If it is demonstrated that comments by the public will exceed 15 minutes, the President or Chairperson may continue Public Comment to another time during the meeting.

3. REVIEW OF COMMUNICATIONS ITEMS: (DISCUSSION)

At this time, the Commission may discuss or take possible action to respond to communication

items received since the last meeting.

4. COMMISSION ORIENTATION AND TRAINING SESSION: (DISCUSSION)

At the request of the Commission, the City Attorney’s Office and the Department of Building Inspection will present informational topics related to orientation for new commissioners and Commission activities and concerns.

  1. Presentation by the City Attorney’s Office regarding the role of the Access Appeals Commission and the laws governing the conduct of the Access Appeals Commission.
  2. General orientation and training session on the S.F. Building Code abatement procedures, the California Code of Regulations, Title 24, and Access Appeals Commission procedures. Training to be conducted by Rafael Torres-Gil and Jim Whipple, the Department of Building Inspection Representatives.
  1. COMMISSIONERS’ AND STAFF’S QUESTIONS AND COMMENTS: (DISCUSSION)
  2. Commissioners’ and Staff’s open discussion to identify new agenda items, as well as current agenda items to be continued to another regular commission meeting, site visit or special meeting. Commission discussion and possible action regarding administrative issues related to access appeals.

  3. PUBLIC COMMENT: (DISCUSSION)

Comment time is limited to 3 minutes per person.
